Dubai is an interesting city, but, lets face it, it's a small city as well. I agree there are lot of fantastic attractions to offer to the tourists as well as the locals. Dubai is filled with the tallest, highest, largest, biggest attractions. When someone visits us in Dubai, I take pride in showcasing all the fantastic places Dubai has to offer. 

But what worries me a lot is when people plan their second visit or third and so on, purely because I wonder what else I can show them that they didn't see in their last visit. Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Burj Al Arab, Mall of Emirates, Ski Dubai, Atlantis, Miracle Garden, Global Village, Marina, Dubai Internet City, The Beach, Palm, Metro, Tram, Mono Rail, Desert Safari, Floating restaurant, Gold Souk, awesome beaches - all Done Done Done.

I guess this is something that worries Dubai government as well, which is why they keep coming back with whole bunch of new attractions every year. So here's what you will find new if you plan to visit Dubai now, in 2017, though there are many many more in making (for your next trip may be)

1. Dubai Canal

This ambitious project is now the new talk of the town and offers various attractions

As part of this project, the Creek was extended manually to finally submerge into the sea.

To achieve this, a part of Sheikh Zayed Road was demolished for the water to pass and the flyover was built over it.  

And now it offers following new attractions:

• A beautiful fly-over bridge on the Sheikh Zayed road, underneath which passes the Dubai Creek
• Underneath this bridge is the amazing colorful waterfall, that looks best at night. When a boat passes through this waterfall, it splits up to give way to the boat - a view to look for.
• Amazing walkway besides the creek
• Various beautiful suspension bridges that are just picture perfect

2. Dubai Riverland

This gorgeous attraction is soon likely to become the tourist's as well as the local's favorite. 

It gives the feeling of a french village. This themed destination offers retail, dining experience, street theater and entertainment.

And guess what, entry is absolutely free.

It has four zones in it offering four different themes to feel and see - French Village, Broadwalk, India Gate and Peninsula

3. Dubai's Indoor Rainforest

Feels exotic the moment your hear this.

Located in the City Walk, this attraction offers a Real Eco System with over 3,000 species of plants, insects and birds.

The main attraction of the place is the world's largest man made tree that offers the living environment for the animals and plants.

Place also offers educational programs for children

4. IMG World of Adventures

Dubai had been always lacking a theme park which was always a great disappointment for the tourists.

You just cannot not visit the iMG worlds of Adventure. It is the largest mega indoor amusement parks, spread across 1.5 million square feet, representing the brands like Cartoon Network and Marvel. Lost Valley - Dinosaurs is the original concept that is found nowhere else.

It is the home to a number of world-firsts, a variety of themed retail stored, exclusive dining venues and 12-screen Novo cinema which will open soon.

5. Dubai Parks & Resorts

Full action packed attraction, spread across 25 million square feet, that offers following:

There are so many more new attractions like Corniche at Palm island, Dubai Opera, Fly over Dubai Fountain; and there are many more coming like Ain Dubai (world's largest ferry wheel), but for now, these are the major ones that are on top of the charts everywhere.
